The Lindsay family had a modest backyard that we turned into a private outdoor oasis. A second floor was added to an existing single story garage for a studio space with a view, and the yard between house and garage was sculpted with terracing, decks, and a hot tub flowing into a small lap pool. Wood and steel shade structures were extended off the built forms to create multiple levels of outdoor living. Privacy and views were balanced with angled wood screen walls.
